Wholesome, organic ingredients in beauty products and my food make me feel like I’m just treating my body better. Consuming products and foods that also support a cause make me feel like I’m treating the world better.
I was going back and forth on how to introduce this beauty brand to ya’ll – but they did it better than I can on their own website. *and note: this is not a sponsored post*
Beneficial Organic Beauty focuses on the development of the most effective, lush moisturizers to make your skin soft, youthful and beautiful. During the process we create working environments that foster creativity, inclusivity and respect among our employees. Sales generate income that support organic farmers in their efforts to produce safe organic crops and also allow fair trade workers to sustainably harvest lush pods and seeds at fair wages.
At the core of the brand is our sincere effort to facilitate education and social justice for women and girls in the United States and abroad. A portion of all profits is donated to vital organizations with goals that mirror our values.
When Me & the Girls reached out to me to see if I’d be interested in sampling their products, I was excited since I love alllllll things organic in the beauty space. The skin is the largest organ of the body, so I try not to use products that contain a bunch of fillers or additives that aren’t good (or that I have no clue where they come from or what they are).
When I opened the package, I was excited to see a mini travel set and a full size Bar Beleza. Although the travel set had mini versions – they had amazing packaging and everything smelled amazing. The set includes the Limonum Body Scrub, Lavandula Revive Softening Creme, Moon™ Anti-Aging Night Facial Moisturizer, Moon™ Serum, Lavandula Revive Foot Scrub, Bamboo spoon, Lip Combo Moisturizer AND a travel bag. The full set retails for $64 bucks which I felt was a steal since you literally get to try the top products from the line.
My personal favorite is the Bar Beleza – a multipurpose product. It can be used as a day moisturizer, a non-foaming oil cleanser and the perfect all-in-one facial primer and conditioner. You can literally bring this with you on vacation and not need an entire system. The only thing you have to be afraid of is too much heat since it will melt.
AND the ingredients are amazing: Cupuacu Seed Butter, Cocoa Butter, Tamanu Oil, Virgin Coconut Oil, and Vitamin E – Tocopherol. If I had the time and energy, I would try to make this myself!
I’ve been chatting more about DIY skincare (at home facials + a weekend skin detox) – but I’m also excited about trying out an at home pedicure! It’s summer time – and I’ve neglected my feet all winter. I won’t lie – my toes haven’t seen anything besides a nail clipper since October so I don’t rip my pantyhose. My plan is to try out the Lavandula Revive Foot Scrub with the Lavandula Revive Softening Creme before I apply some polish to my toes to get them ready to see the sun again. We’ll see!
With the quality of these products, I am praying that they come out with some hair care items as well. So many of these ingredients are present in my favorite hair care systems and I can just see how amazing that would be as well. But for now, cheers to another natural beauty system that works AND supports women in the US of A and abroad.
