How I faded my acne scars

Frank Body Skin CareAcne scars have been the bane of my existence for the past year. In early 2014 when I was going through some drama, my face took the brunt of the stress. I broke out all over – especially on my cheeks and forehead like I was 13 years old all over again.

Actually – I don’t even think it was as bad as it was when I was 13 since I didn’t deal with acne scarring back then. Womp.

I’ve written about fading acne scars before, but Frank changed the game. I received the product line in mid-June, and I’ve been using it consistently every day and my scars have really faded. So much so, that I’ve stopped wearing makeup to work now!

Yea – they’ve faded that much. Some are so faint now that I can barely see them unless I’m super close to the mirror. Let me break down the new line for you.

The facial care line has 3 items: the creamy facial cleanser, the creamy face scrub, and the everyday face moisturizer. In my opinion, I think the creamy scrub is the miracle worker.

It’s a got a gentle grit to it as you massage it into your face a few times per week. I’ve been using this every other day actually {and didn’t suffer from any redness or irritation}. I’m really tempted to use it every.single.day – but I don’t want to tempt fate.

You wet your face, massage it on, and let it sit for 3 minutes. The sitting part is what makes Frank different – you let the ingredients seep into your skin. I normally massage it in before I hop in the shower, so by the time that I am ready to rinse off, the scrub has been on my face for at least 5 minutes.

I’ve also made the habit of using this scrub before putting on makeup – it makes everything go on so much smoother. As my scars begin to fade, sometimes my skin peels a bit {gross I know} so exfoliation is key if I’m going to wear makeup.

Day to day, I use the creamy cleanser and the everyday moisturizer as well. The cleanser is this gorgeous gray color from the charcoal that’s added in to help fix skin impurities. I knew that charcoal is good for acne and drying out oily skin – but I never really looked into it much more than that. According to Frank, it does the following:

This powerful antioxidant protects and repairs your skin, targeting dryness, acne, fine lines and other skin conditions caused by free radicals. It also provides nourishment, smoothing and reinvigorating tired, worn out skin.

So it’s not just drying – it also nourishes.

Last but not least is the moisturizer that can be used all day every day. There’s no need for a separate night cream since this gets the job done. It has enough power to help fight acne, but is also light, and gentle for people with sensitive skin. When I use this, I almost feel like there is nothing on my face – but my skin is hydrated and moist.

Overall, I’m loving the skincare line from Frank. I spoke about the body scrubs {HERE}, and this facial line has me just as excited. I was also able to share a little bit of Frank with the Manifest Your Vision attendees as well – so far, I keep hearing nothing but good things about it!

If you are coping with acne scars right now – I highly recommend testing out this line for yourself. I’ve been using it for over a month, and I plan on repurchasing the set when I’m done. The full set is $49.95 – which is a great price for a line with such high quality ingredients – who also use full sized bottles {you don’t get a mere 2oz with any of these}.

The only feedback I have is that I wish they had a travel set available – when I was in Austin, I wasn’t able to bring these items in my carry on. I squeezed out a little bit of the facial scrub, but I didn’t want to chance it with the rest of the line. Hopefully they will have mini’s soon!

Do you suffer from acne scarring?

YES. I have acne scarring. This post is timely and helpful! I’ve been dreaming of the day I could stop wearing concealer/foundation (so icky when it gets all oily and transfers onto your phone after having so much as a 2.5 minute conversation!) I’ve been so skeptical about ‘acne fade’ products because I’m afraid they’ll be all wrong for my dark skin. I’m thrilled to know that SOMEthing works and isn’t likely to leave me with weird bleached out skin! Definitely going to try this product. Thanks for sharing!!!
