I’m so excited right now, that I’ve had to write, and re-write this sentence at least 3 times. Tomorrow my site will be down at 3pm EST to start the relaunch process. It will probably take 3-5 hours, and then everything will be back up and running.
I will still have a few tweaks, most likely, so if you see anything wonky, please don’t hesitate to shoot me an email at email@example.com so I can fix it right away.
Now that the housekeeping is out of the way… I have something fun to share.
Over the past few months, I’ve been feeling like something is missing in my business and personal life. I’m working on a million things at once, but still feeling overwhelmed and swamped. I’m productive, but also lagging behind. I’ve attempted to start a mastermind group, but it fizzled since all of the members are at different phases of their life and business.
What I realized is that I’m missing accountability in many aspects of my life.
I haven’t had someone to check in with on a regular basis who can help keep me motivated and accountable for my personal and professional goals. I’m at this weird crossroads where I’m employed full time, but I also have a full-time business. I’m excelling at my job, but also growing my business.
I’ve got to focus on both areas of my life.
I’m in a bunch of entrepreneur groups [which are AMAZING], but I also feel a bit out of place because I’m doing both. I’m not at the place to leave my full time job, so I want to crush goals in both areas – and I need support.
Soooo, why not launch my own group? In person meetings are difficult, but Facebook makes it uber easy to connect throughout the day at times that are convenient for you.
I’m super nervous, to be 100% honest. I’ve been in this blogging/entrepreneur environment since 2011, but I feel like I’m just getting into the things that make a business thrive [email marketing, newsletters, products, FB groups/communities].
And on the other side – I’m also in a real leadership position at work, so I have to learn the proper “rules of engagement” in my role. I’m the first person to hold the position as well, so I’m working on everything from developing the strategy, building a team, and executing the work.
It’s a lot. And I’m well aware that I’m not the only one out there who is struggling with balance, accountability and thriving in their space. So let’s get through this together.
